Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 July 2026 · Mimesis is in early beta.

These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Mimesis ("we", "us") for use of the Mimesis service, website, CLI, and APIs (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The beta

Mimesis is an early beta. It is provided "as is" and may change, break, or go offline while we build it. Don't rely on it as your only copy of anything important. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Provide a real email so you can recover access. One account per person; don't share credentials or impersonate anyone. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, to store or process other people's data without the right to do so, to send spam, or to attack, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service or its security. Don't upload secrets you don't want stored; we actively reject obvious credentials, but you are responsible for what you put in.

4. Your content and ownership

Your memories and the context you add are yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and operate the Service for you (for example, saving your data and compiling context on your request). We do not sell your content, and we do not use the contents of your memories to train external models. You can export or delete your data at any time.

5. Plans and billing

Free and paid plans are described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime — access continues through the paid period. Because this is a beta, pricing and plan features may change with notice. Contact us about refunds.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or put the Service or other users at risk. You can take your data with you before you go.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior three months (or, if you're on the free plan, nothing). Some places don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the current terms.
